what a weird show. there's no reason for it. except that,
well, The Planets never go out of style and neither does
a good one drop for that matter. so why not put the two together?!
that's what i said. so history was made. good.
now we can all go back to what we were doing. (after
Sunday around, say, 1pm.)
one hour of Blowout samples
and random reggae beats. how genius. in.dub.it.ably.
**in other news: perhaps you've heard of St. Agnes, the Rasta temple located in Brixton London? well, the batsh**t has certainly been flyin'!
this week the Rastas who were arrested last year in the "largest drug raid
in London" were finally acquitted. many claim the Lambeth Council (ie: cops.
po po. pigs.) wanted the Rasta community out of the district for 30 some years. other stories claim that the Rastas themselves called upon authorities to crack down on hard drugs and weapons that were threatening the community. either way, the housing and rehabilitation that the Lambeth Council promised the many who were evicted, have still not come through.
will the promised social housing built on the site actually be affordable?
will government authorities actually make good on their promises?
hmm. seems these and other timeless stories continue to have unanswered questions. some similar questions exist in our very own backyard.
New Orleans, anyone?
