This week host Ken Malloy of Get to Know Your Neighbor interviews Jim Edgeton, a well-known name in music in these parts. Jim is the music director for the Fairfield Public Schools and the Fairfield Area Community Theater. He says that he knew he would have a life in music from a very early age, but by the 4th grade piano lessons were challenging his convictions.

Rather than losing heart, he detoured into the world of woodwinds and brass. In the ensuing years, Jim has gone from a questionable beginning on the piano into being a golden fixture in the local music scene, a living example of the old adage: if at first you don't succeed, try, try again.
