This is the first show I did. Dr. Moore (yes, THE Dr. Moore) called me Thursday night and asked if I would go on the air Saturday night from 7-10. Our opening night. It freaked me out, but I figured if I was going to do this, I might as well head into the eye of the storm, so I agreed. I showed up Sat. at 6:45 nervous and wigged. I had no idea what I was going to play, and all of a sudden, equipment I was familiar with seemed foreign and strange to me. Once the first song hit, I was on my way, until the only song that would truly follow the one before was on an LP, and the song before, which is playing is on LP, and we only had one turntable. That means, unless I feel like talking, dead air space. So now I'm freaking out to find a substitute song on CD that will get the job done. These are the songs I played to the best of my memory. I was trying to keep a log, but the art of song connecting can be dicey at times, and I feel fortunate I came out alive. Actually, I got through it and by 1 AM was on a roll. But time was up, so I went out and partied with friends and had some last passionate fun with my girlfriend before the wheel turned and we found ourselves extinct as lovers.
Oh yeah..... life is good and weird.
