KRUU In The Press
The Heartland Spirit printed Community radio comes to Fairfield by Virginia Hancock, when KRUU was going to launch.
Erika Richards wrote an article for The Ottumwa Courier called Fairfield a is a 'Great Place' after Fairfield won the Great Places' award. KRUU's success was apparently an important part of the decision to give Fairfield the award!
The Iowa Source printed an article written by KRUU Station Manager James Moore called Low Power in High Places.
The Des Moines Register published a profile of KRUU for their Sunday Lifestyles section: Radio taps locals to host 'real' shows.
A great piece that really gets into the guts of KRUU was by UK-based freelance journalist Richard Poynder, who wrote an article entitled "Open Radio" describing KRUU's mission on his Open and Shut blog.
KRUU, Open Source Radio is a blog entry at creativecommons.org by Creative Commons' CTO Mike Linksvayer.
