Ain't That Peculiar - Thu May 17, 9-11 pm
On Thursday nights from 10:00 to 10:30 PM, I usually play a set of comedy built on one or more themes. But starting 2 weeks ago, for the following 10 weeks, I'm playing episodes of the short-lived, little-loved sketch comedy radio show "KPUT", originally broadcast on KRUI in Iowa City.
Comedy Playlist for "Ain't That Peculiar" 5/17/07 (10:00 to 10:30 PM)
From 10:30 to 11:00 PM, I play soul, funk and R&B from the 50s, 60s & 70s. From 9:00 to 10:00 PM, I play pop & rock from the 60s up 'til today.
This week from 9:00 to 10:00 PM, I'll be playing more "Gender Benders"--songs originally performed or made famous by an artist of one gender, but covered by an artist of the opposite gender--plus a few other fun surprises, so be sure to tune in!
Hey Glen,
Just wanted to throw a shout out to a fellow FoW fan....my favorite band....I saw them open for smashing pumpkins in 97 at Nassau Coliseum and have been a huge fan since..i saw their apple store performance and the NYC official show two days later....excellent....keep playing them...i dont think they get the respect they deserve...
