Hey everybody! I know you must be as tired as I am of the cold, snow and ice but you know we have to have it or Spring wouldn't be as special as it is...right? Soon the sun will be shining all the time and the summer birds will be flocking back to the state and we will be complaining about how hot it is! That's the way it is in Iowa if it weren't for the weather what would we talk about? Until the hot weather comes we will have to content ourselves with the thought of flowers swaying in the breeze, bees buzzing and running around in shorts and tee shirts, ah that's the life.

But if you promise not to tell Therese, I do admit that I love winter as much as any other season for it is the one season that allows you no guilt over staying inside to read, nap or work a jigsaw puzzle. Soon we will have to be outside digging, planting, weeding and mowing. No time for just frittering away an afternoon watching an old movie or reading that fluffy romance novel, work has to be done! So until warm weather is really with us don't waste time complaining about the cold, ice and snow, smile and take that book curl up and read awhile!
