his week, i'm playing songs about summer. and after 60 minutes, i'm thinking that'll do it. summer'll finally be over.
in addition to frank sinatra, rascal flatts, and war [left], you'll hear some new takes on the old "summertime," by west african angelique kidjo, an ambient remix of sarah vaughan, and a brilliant (if i do say so) summer mash-up of sly & the family stone vs. the beach boys.
mostly, these're mellow summer tunes: be lanuit [right] "summer breeze," deodato's "spirit of the summer," bebel gilberto's "so nice," the acapella group inside out, and koop. the songs are here.
