after only a mild reprieve from the oppressive midwest heat, this week i'm spinning an hour of tunes from 2009 that will put some chill back in summer.

the austrian duo of kruder and dorfmeister (aka tosca, left) released some of the most fascinating and flowing music of that year, including the delicious and "oysters in may."

the english band muse and dj/house producer funkerman (right) contribute their sounds to this week's show, along with modern classical compositions by the balanescu string quartet and yo yo ma & friends.

it feels like it's been summer all year. but then we hit june and the summer heat makes us make a choice: stay in and be cool or go outside and drip. but my show this week brings you another choice altogether: enjoy the slow, sultry, sweaty heat, in the cool of my summer show.
