Tea Time Camaraderie
with Dom Rabelais
Dom and his brother were selected to perform in the upcoming Mission Creek Festival, this week in Iowa City.
They'll be performing with Dan Deacon and two other bands Saturday night at the Picador. They were interviewed by the Daily Iowan today.
Interview with Mission Creek founder Andre Perry Wednesday at 12:30pm.
This week brings you international bands such as Germany's Olaf Boqwist & trip-hop duo NeoQi, and French electro-pop cuties, the Underwires (and I am not talking about the annoying piece of lingerie that jabs into your sides). The core members of Underwires are twin brothers Aurélien and Théophile & co. whom are currently based in Berlin and I am pleased as punch that they sent me their cd. I will also be featuring Austin based Ghostland Observatory and their muse Daft Punk. Of course, I haven't overlooked the west coast ...how about a bit of Portland's Childhood Friends and a sampling of the effervescent & elusive music of California chanteuse Benett? Hmmm... tune in to find out why I should have taken the advice of her song's title "Don't Mention Disco". read more »
