Richard Thompson

On Thu Jun 28 from 9:00 to 10:00 PM, I'll continue to play--in order--the songs performed by Richard Thompson in his Minneapolis show of Mon Jun 11, which my wife Missy & I attended. (Last week, I played the first 15 songs of Thompson's 22 song set. See my blog entry of last week for more info re: Richard Thompson.)

From 10:00 to 10:30 PM, I'll play episode 9 of the sketch comedy radio series KPUT, originally broadcast on KRUI in Iowa City.

Comedy Playlist for "Ain't That Peculiar" 6/28/07 (10:00 to 10:30 PM)

From 10:30 to 11:00 PM, I'll play more Richard Thompson songs--but they'll be songs he surprisingly didn't play in his Minneapolis show, & songs from albums which were not represented in his concert.

Next week, I'll play late 70s/early 80s disco songs by non-disco artists--including The Who, The Talking Heads, David Bowie, The Rolling Stones, Queen, The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, Herb Alpert, The Clash, Maynard Ferguson, The Kinks, Paul McCartney & Wings, Kiss, and The Beach Boys!

From 10:30 to 11:00 PM, I play soul, funk and R&B from the 50s, 60s & 70s. Tonight I'll play The Brothers Johnson and The Undisputed Truth, among many others.

From 9:00 to 10:00 PM, I'll play some of the new Fountains Of Wayne album "Traffic And Weather" (released this week) and a new anti-war song from Richard Thompson called "Dad's Gonna Kill Me", from his album "Sweet Warrior" to be released May 29.  read more »
