Brief Bio

I have lived in Fairfield, IA since 1987. I have the great pleasure of being married to Peggy J. Polakow, nee Murphy. Between us we have six fine children, 2 young men and 4 young women.
If you're wondering what makes me qualified to co-host a sports talk show, I'm kind of wondering the same thing. But, when you think about it, who is better qualified to do that than my and my buddy, Bob Daniels. After all, what qualifications do you need besides having a lifelong interest in sports and sports figures and sports stories. Yep, I've even played a few sports along the way, basketball and baseball in high school. Ice Hockey at 3 in the mornings in empty rinks in Massachusetts with a bunch of other hockey junkeys. Plus, golf, tennis, touch football, frisbee, horseback riding, marbles, bowling...etc, etc. In other words,all the sports most American kids play growing up even into their "later years." What I love about sports is what most of us love about it -- the grace, coordination, and focus of athletes and athletic teams; the competition; the drama; the intensity. It's all beautiful and inspiring at its best, and when it's not at its best, well...it's still beautiful.

I promise you a refreshing look at some tired topics as well as a look at sports and sports questions and oddities you may have never considered.
